Educational Background and Professional Experience: Emily Neilan has been an elementary school teacher since 2014. She has a B.A. in Philosophy and History from the University of Arizona, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a M.S. in Education from CSU East Bay. She began her teaching career in Fremont, CA, where she taught kindergarten and 2nd grade. Since moving to San Diego in 2018, she has found her passion for teaching art, and has taught art to elementary students of all grade levels. She continues to enrich her own art education through art courses at UCSD Extension, and has previously studied art at UC Berkeley's Art Studio. We are happy to welcome her as one of our new STEAM+ Art Teachers this year!
