Cinzia Fisher

Hello! I am Mrs. Fisher and I am so happy to be part of the 6th grade team here at Ocean Air! It's going to be a super year. I began my teaching career in Cajon Valley Union School District. After teaching the primary grades for 10 years and earning my Master of Education with an emphasis in Mathematics Curriculum, I was recruited by San Diego State University to be part of their teacher education program. As part of the SDSU credential program, it was my job to train new teachers how to teach math. I also acted as a student teacher supervisor- evaluating and guiding student teachers as they learned. This is my seventh year teaching 6th grade at Ocean Air and I cannot wait to meet you all.
When I am not at Ocean Air I spend time with my family. I am married to a wonderful man and we have three beautiful children, two dogs and too many cats! My family is very involved in sports, with all three of my children and my husband playing competitive soccer. My children are also involved in playing piano, acting, singing, and learning to speak Chinese. I love to spend time with my family, travel and plan engaging lessons for my class.
6th graders are special! I love their energy, enthusiasm, and ability to grow as learners, leaders, and members of a team. I encourage my students work and play hard, creating memories as we learn and prepare for their futures in middle school and beyond. Thank you for welcoming me into your amazing community and I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
