Mrs. Hemingway has been teaching in the Del Mar Union School District for the past 21 years.  She has taught second and third grades, and as a Resource Specialist Teacher for grades K-6.  Mrs. Hemingway attended San Diego State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work.  She also received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Learning Handicapped Teaching Credential and a master's degree in Special Education. 

 

Working with children and teaching are Mrs. Hemingway's passions. She believes students learn best when they are given opportunities throughout the day to interact and collaborate together.  Mrs. Hemingway feels her students should feel comfortable to share their thoughts and take risks with their thinking.  She strives to incorporate the most current and effective practices in education. Mrs. Hemingway strives to help each student achieve their personal best and feel proud of their accomplishments.
